This fragrance is dedicated to the colorful and diverse beliefs that are found in Voodoo worship and also to the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans herself, Marie Laveau. Devotees leave tokens at her grave in exchange for small requests. Offerings are common in Voodoo practice, especially when calling upon favors from loa spirits. Baron Samedi is perhaps the most famous of Voodoo spirits and is often represented in art dressed in a top hat, black tailcoat, and white skull face paint.
This fragrance has an invigorating base of freshly brewed black coffee, one of the offerings commonly given to Baron Samedi. From the beating drums and rhythmic chanting of elaborate rituals to shops full of potions, voodoo dolls, gris-gris bags, and countless other amulets and talismans, Voodoo has captured the imagination of many and is firmly rooted in the magic and intrigue of New Orleans.
This candle smells like my Grandma's kitchen with some magic thrown in. i love this scent so much that I bought the bigger size so that it would last even longer.
Voodoo is my absolute favorite scent - the richness of the coffee scent is warm and comforting, but the sugar combines to create mystery and a sexiness. Perfect for any room!
The Voodoo Soy Candle smells so delicious that it seems a shame it's not edible. I'm a huge fan of anything that smells like a Bourbon Street boutique or a coffee shop in Salem, and this candle fits the bill. The jar is beautiful, and the lid is so lovely with a wax stamped seal that it will be used as a desktop container once the candle is spent. It's perfect for anyone who likes dark academia, antique vibes, or vintage libraries.
Has a deep rich scent that it manages to get right without being overpowering.
This is the first candle in a LONG time that actually produces the aroma of the wax while it is burning. Absolutely amazing and I will be getting more. Love this!
